Orkut ceases to be the 3rd most visited social network in Brazil, says survey

The Orkut became one of the largest social networks in the world thanks to the Brazilians, but in June suffered a new defeat.
The site questions Ask.fm overtook Orkut third place in the list of most visited social network in June, according to data from Hitwise, intelligence tool in digital marketing Serasa Experian, released on Monday (8).
The Facebook remains the undisputed leader, with 68.2% of visits to sites of the genre, followed by YouTube, with 18.2%.
The ask.fm, with 1.86% of visits, not only left behind Orkut, with 1.73%. The Twitter also remains behind in the bottom position, with 1.75% of internet users' preference.
In addition to listing the most visited social networks, Hitwise also captures the average time spent on these sites. The average time the Brazilians on Facebook is 28 minutes and 45 seconds, while the YouTube was 22 minutes and 53 seconds and the Ask.fm, 19 minutes and 18 seconds.
Manifestation
Facebook audience peaked during the fourth manifestation of the reduction rate in São Paulo, on Thursday, June 13. The site received 70% of visits to social networks in the country.
According to Hitwise, the states that most visiting social networking are all in the Southeast. In São Paulo, 34% of Internet users are frequenters of these sites, while in Rio de Janeiro are 12.8% and Minas Gerais, 10%.
Already fans are the least of the Northern region: Acre (0.18%), Roraima (0.12%) and Amapá (0.08%).
